(Ottawa) A report on the federal election campaign should be high on the agenda when members of the Liberal caucus meet today.
This will be the first full caucus meeting since the Liberals emerged from the September 20 election with a minority government.
The result, largely reflecting the pre-election setup of the House of Commons, followed polls earlier in the year that suggested a Liberal majority government was within reach.
In addition to some administrative business, Liberal MPs will likely talk about what to expect in the next parliamentary session.
The main promises of the Liberal campaign included new measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the implementation of a buy-back program for banned firearms, plans to increase homeownership and measures to end the fight against COVID-19.
The House will resume its sitting on November 22 for four weeks before taking a recess for the holiday break.
