First images of the new Honda HR-V

Those who want a modernization of a concept whose practical side has proven itself thanks, among other things, to the configurable aspect of its rear bench seat will no doubt welcome its arrival. The HR-V first presents itself with features that are still consensual, but which are perhaps a little more assertive. Its honeycomb grille stands out from the more slender and low headlights and its hood also seems longer compared to the passenger compartment.

The Honda HR-V will benefit from a multi-link rear suspension for the first time.

The most important tidbit from Honda’s brief statement is the transition to the latest-generation Civic platform. This will allow the HR-V to benefit for the first time from a multi-link rear suspension and thus improve its refinement. It’s also promised an increase in its footprint, which will put it even closer to the CR-V and could justify a higher bill.

On the side of the engine, nothing has been presented, but the manufacturer assures that it will be more powerful, without advancing that it will be entitled to several engines. In that case, the 1.5L turbocharged four-cylinder mill employed in the Civic (180 hp) would be a prime candidate.

However, we will have to wait until the summer to find out more.
