Cinémaginaire and TVA Films launched a first short trailer for the film on Wednesday Our Sisters-in-Lawdirected by René Richard Cyr.
We see Germaine Lauzon (played by Geneviève Schmidt) announcing to family and friends on the phone that she has just won the jackpot of premium stamps. Which arouses a mixed reaction from the other women, to say the least.
“Do I look like someone who’s already won something?” », as one of them would say in this theater classic by Michel Tremblay.
In addition to Cyr behind the camera and on the screenplay, Daniel Bélanger pens the music. This new production by Denise Robert features a top-flight cast with, in particular, Guylaine Tremblay, Anne-Élisabeth Bossé, Debbie Lynch-White, Véronic DiCaire, Valérie Blais, Pierrette Robitaille and Diane Lavallée. The musical film is scheduled to be released on July 11, 2024.
