The Parisians look grim. They recorded their first defeat of the season (2-3), when OGC Nice came to the Parc des Princes, at the opening of the 5th day of Ligue 1, Friday September 15. They thus miss the opportunity to seize for the first time, even temporarily, first place in the championship, four days before the first Champions League match against Borussia Dortmund.
Between Marco Verratti’s farewell and the first defeat, especially at home, Kylian Mbappé and his teammates did not have a good evening. The little genius of the midfield is gone, as is the creativity of the Parisians.
While they seemed to have found the right fuel with their victory against Lens (3-1) and Lyon (4-1) which followed two initial draws, Luis Enrique’s players fell against the Niçois, led by a Terem Moffi of the great evenings, author of a double (21st, 68th).
