In Courthezon, shortly before 7 p.m., six fires broke out ten kilometers along the railway line. The flames covered three hectares of brush. Nearly eighty firefighters were mobilized. The helicopter made four water drops to contain the fire.
In Lauris, the fire destroyed 2,500 m² of undergrowth on the edge of the Luberon forest massif. The Vaucluse firefighters received reinforcements from the Bouches du Rhône firefighters to contain the flames.
In Avignon, around 7:00 p.m., several fires were lit on Boulevard Delorme, just behind the pound in the Saint Jean district. The flames damaged a house. A 70-year-old resident was inconvenienced by the fumes; he was treated at the hospital in Avignon. A firefighter was also slightly injured; he too was treated at the hospital in Avignon.
