Fires: in the United States, California still under pressure, 3,000 firefighters mobilized

A dense fog of smoke, this is the new panorama of the Californian forests, in the United States. Between charred trees and still hot embers, there is not much room left for greenery. On the northern front, firefighters continue to fight the flames, Tuesday, July 26. 3,000 men took turns trying to bring the fire under control as quickly as possible and save the threatened homes. “There are a lot of houses surrounded by brush, it is very complicated to access them”admits the chief of fire brigade in California, Jon Heggie.

On the side of the citizens, the hour is with the resignation. They are only too accustomed to these devastating fires. “If it’s not for us this time, it will be the next. We really live among the pines”, ironically pessimistically a resident met on the spot. In complex terrain, steep and strewn with tree stumps, authorities hope that the fire will move towards a section of forest already charred in 2018.
