Fires in France: A candidate from Koh-Lanta mobilized, photos on the ground

The Gironde is burning. 7400 hectares have been affected by the fires currently raging in the region. Several other departments, such as Aveyron or Jura, also have to fight against several fires. Europe is therefore mobilizing to come to the aid of France in order to support the firefighters who are fighting the fire night and day. Among them, a former candidate from Koh Lanta from Hérault.

It is Francois Descampco-winner of the last season (with Bastien) called The Cursed Totem. The ex-adventurer, aged 38 at the time of filming, has been a firefighter for seventeen years. It is therefore logically mobilized to stop the fires which have been gaining ground since the beginning of August. This Friday, August 12, 2022, he also wanted to put his functions in the spotlight on Instagram. In a first photo, we can discover him shaking hands with Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin while he is surrounded by other of his colleagues and a camera is filming them. It was then aboard a helicopter that the future dad was immortalized.

Proud to participate in the fight in this particularly complicated fire season, alongside my comrades @sapeurs_pompiers_de_france and alongside all civil security actors. Courage to all for all the battles to be fought and all the other daily interventions!“, wrote François Descamp in the caption of his publication.
