The forest weather forecast, a new tool to prevent fire risks, comes into force on June 2. The map can be viewed on the Météo France website and mobile application until the end of September.

The President of the Republic came to Nîmes (Gard) on Friday June 2 to see the new civil security and firefighter equipment. First, new planes or helicopters have been purchased or leased by the state.
Anticipate the risks
There will be six additional water bombers in France this summer. On the ground, more firefighters will be able to come as reinforcements as needed, 3,660 in all. Finally, new tools are deployed in an attempt to be more efficient. “Everything is decided if we anticipate, and if we manage to intervene as soon as possible”, said Emmanuel Macron. To better anticipate, the new Météo France map lets you know 24 to 48 hours in advance the risks of forest fires.
