Seven calves fell into a slurry pit of a farm, this Friday at the end of the day, in Loireauxence (Loire-Atlantique). Faced with the large volume of this pit, the rescuers pulled out all the stops to help these animals. A perilous operation, where the roof of the shed had to be unbolted where the animals were kept.

The seven calves fell into a manure pit, the rescuers were forced to pump out part of this pit for the rescue.

Then, the twenty firefighters on site deployed a crane outside. Then, with the support of the farmers, the rescuers began their evacuation operation. One by one the calves were placed in a net to be taken out of the building by air. It was also necessary to pump out part of the slurry pit to facilitate the rescue work. The other 200 calves in the shed have been moved to safety.
