At the head of France Télévisions since 2015, Delphine Ernotte continues to make many changes despite the criticism. Broadcast for the first time on television in 1965, the program “Numbers and letters” will now be offered on weekends to make way for a new program entitled “Duels in the family, the match of the regions”. Unsurprisingly, it is the darling of the group, Cyril Féraud who takes over the slot to animate this new original program.
And against all odds, the channel decided to separate from two key figures of the emblematic show, namely Arielle Boulin-Prat and Bertrand Renard. If their departure was announced a few days ago, the two hosts decided to make an update: “In short, far from wanting to leave or quit the show, it is France Télévisions where we have worked for so long that chooses to separate from usto record alone a break that was never asked of him” they said in a press release relayed this Monday, August 22, 2022.
They thus explain that the chain would have refused to grant them a CDI but also to maintain their current salaries. “We did not refuse the supposed new version of the game, sincewe were never introduced to it. […] What is modestly referred to as a contractual disagreement arose because France Télévisions demanded a reduction in our salary of around 60% and refused to grant us the CDI that we had the audacity to claim” they explain.
We must specify that Arielle Boulin-Prat has been on a fixed-term contract at France Télévisions for 36 years and that her colleague Bertrand Renard has been on a fixed-term contract for 47 years. “We don’t exist when we’re on the air every day. This regularization was flatly refused to us, without explanation. It is humanly unacceptable before it is legally.“they lament.
