The center of the island of Yeu was affected by a fire late Thursday afternoon. 5 hectares of vegetation burned. As a precaution due to nearby fumes about fifteen inhabitants of the impasse du Chiron Durand, between La Meule and Ker Pissot, were evacuated from their homes, most of them relocated with relatives. Fifty firefighters were sent as reinforcements from the mainland. They were transported between the Vendée and the island by an SNSM launch and helicopters, including that of civil security, which made several rotations. This Thursday evening the fire was circumscribed according to the prefecture of Vendée.
