Fire in progress in the station district in Metz

Thick black smoke escaped this Wednesday, November 2 around 9 a.m. from the roof of a building on rue Lafayette in Metz, in the SNCF station district. Smoke that also spread to the surrounding streets.

The building affected by the disaster notably houses a hotel whose customers were evacuated according to a journalist from France Bleu Lorraine on the spot, while the first three fire trucks took up position. The gas has been cut off.
