A residential building located on Saint-Elxéar Boulevard West in the Vimont sector, in Laval, was engulfed in flames late Monday afternoon.
According to the Association des Pompiers de Laval, a general alert was triggered to control the blaze which heavily damaged the apartment building.
According to information from Urgence-santé, there were no injuries.
Via their Twitter account, the Association des Pompiers de Laval asks citizens to avoid the area if possible.
The cause of the fire was still unknown early Monday evening.
