A fire broke out in a house in downtown Crest this Friday morning. The fire broke out around 8:30 a.m. on the first floor of this 200 square meter building, rue du Général Bovet. Forty firefighters were immediately mobilized to avoid spreading to the roof and to adjoining houses. The fire was quickly extinguished. The occupants, a 70-year-old woman and a 48-year-old man, were not injured. They were taken in charge by the town hall to be rehoused.
Already at the end of February, two men in their fifties died in the accidental fire of a building in the town center of Crest.
