The public has the power to replace programmers who work all year round without any algorithm, for a participatory music marathon. To schedule FIP for Friday June 21, the day of the Fête de la Musique, go to the station’s social networks, or call 06.62.95.35.35.

We must be clear, entrusting twelve hours of air time to listeners, and trusting their musical tastes, is an idea of the director of FIP, Ruddy Aboab. “We said to ourselves that we were going to go back to the basics of the music festival and to the basics of the origin of the major music radios and even pirate radios. That is to say, if no one calls us, it there will be no music on Fip for the first time in Fip’s history”.

There is therefore a method which is to contact the radio on social networks or by telephone at 06.62.95.35.35 and draw inspiration from the creativity of the programming team with Luc Frelon.

We don’t know at all what to expect: are we going to receive songs that aren’t even in the Radio France database? Are we going to find ourselves putting together big hits? Are we going to end up with a Slayer at 7:15 ?. But he warns “maybe we’ll avoid demos and grandpa’s piano album or big brother’s punk band.”

At FIP, historically all programming is the work of passionate humans and for the music festival, Matthieu Durand promises total freedom.”Exceptionally, we are going to break all these taboos, these prohibitions and we are going to let ourselves be surprised. If we all love the radio medium, it is also a medium of surprise. So respect Fip by not respecting him today”.

The programmer would like a listener to request a certain cartoon theme. “I feel like there’s one that’s never been through, so I’m putting the call out it’s Olive and Tom’s. Please call us to ask for Olive and Tom because we won’t pass it on without being asked.”

Traditionally, programming tells a story on FIP, and the current political situation may find its way into the playlist. The radio director, Ruddy Aboab, explains that there is no taboo. “‘Music is the message’, we are there as an eclectic public service music radio station. If we take on this challenge it’s to go all the way, so we’ll see what happens“.

For Matthieu Durand, the editor-in-chief of Jazz News magazine, “Today it is the only election which is absolutely certified without danger. You can vote for any song, everything will go very well“. Listened to and adored all over the world, FIP has been winning all the votes in music for 53 years.
