Sanna Marin had to apologize on Tuesday August 23, explaining that the photo was inappropriate. The next day, at an event organized by her country, she defended herself again, on the verge of tears: “I’m human, and I too sometimes crave joy and light and fun amidst those dark clouds. And that involves all kinds of photos and videos that I wouldn’t want to see, that I know you wouldn’t want to see. And yet, we are shown them to all of us. It’s private, it’s joy and it’s life.”
