The match was close between the two favorites of this 49th Caesar ceremony. The film teams THE Animal Kingdom leave with five Césars (best photo, best original music, best visual effects, best sound and best costume), but these are those ofAnatomy of a fall who won the prize, leaving Friday February 23 with six awards (best film, best actress, best direction, best editing, best original screenplay and best actor in a supporting role).
Christopher Nolan, director ofIntestellar And Inception received a César for his entire work, failing to win that for best foreign film for Oppenheimer. The Academy has indeed chosen to reward comedy Simple like Sylvain by Quebecer Monia Chokri. Finally, Agnès Jaoui became the most awarded female artist in the history of the ceremony, receiving an honorary César, the seventh prize in her career as an actress, screenwriter and director.
