Few announcements in the face of intensifying crises. As part of her visit to Mayotte, Friday December 8, Prime Minister Elisabeth Borne answered questions from Mayotte La Première. While the Mahorese population only has access to drinking water one day out of three on average, the head of government was eagerly awaited on this issue, as well as on the issue of delinquency and illegal immigration.
“We are really going to provide the necessary means to ensure security in Mayotte”promised Elisabeth Borne in particular. “We probably need to carry out more heavy-handed operations to put an end to this violence.”says the Prime Minister. “If it is necessary to provide more resources to Mayotte, we will provide them, so that people can be judged and convicted.”
Concretely, this policy will be illustrated by the perpetuation of certain mobilized personnel, particularly during Operation Wuambushu. “From next year, there will be two additional gendarmerie brigades.”, underlines the head of government. This was, in fact, announced at the beginning of October by the President of the Republic, Emmanuel Macron.
