Like Nicole Chassaing, many individuals agree to rent their accommodation to film crews for the big screen, or to companies looking for places for seminars. A deal for some.
A movie shoot in the middle of your living room. A film features a family from the 80s in the living room of Nicole Chassaing, an owner who doesn’t miss a beat. Being in the front row of a film shoot is as much a privilege as an opportunity for this octogenarian couple. Because opening your door to the big screen and seeing your house transformed can pay off big.
Responsible for the sets, Léa Alric holds nothing back: “Sometimes we have to repaint the walls, it can happen that there are walls destroyed or rebuilt”, explains the ensemble. But the production undertakes to restore everything, enough to reassure the retired couple, who agreed to appear in the catalog of a location agency for around ten years. For this first shoot, they will receive compensation. “4000 euros for three days”, underlines Nicole Chassaing.
On the internet, dozens of advertisements offer apartments for rent. Prices range from 300 euros for an apartment in the city center of Lyon and can reach almost 3,000 for accommodation near the Champs-Élysées in Paris. The core target? Companies looking for a friendly place for their seminars.
