filling jerry cans prohibited in Moselle

After the Meuse
and the Vosges
the decision was expected on the Moselle side: the prefect of the department issued an order prohibiting “the sale and purchase of fuels (gasoline, ethanol, diesel, LPG) in transportable containers” such as drums or jerrycans. A measure taken against the strike affecting several refineries
of the country, and to “difficulties in supplying fuel at service stations.”

The ban takes effect this Wednesday, October 12 and is valid until Tuesday, October 18 at midnight. The Prefect of Moselle “appeals to everyone’s responsibility, and asks Mosellens not to make reservations that are not necessary.”

Changing situation

In a count made on Tuesday, October 11, 65 service stations in the department out of 154 were completely out of stock availability, all fuels combined. A very evolving situation: several listeners reported this Wednesday morning on France Bleu Lorraine the replenishment of service stations which were still unavailable the day before.

On the other hand, no decision has yet been communicated to give priority to the pump for certain professions (transport, health, etc.).
