Filip Zadina: from 6th place to waivers

Some Montreal Canadiens fans wanted the team to draft him in the first round in 2018, but now forward Filip Zadina was waived on Monday.

If Habs fans still regret the selection of Jesperi Kotkaniemi at the third rank of the amateur auction five years ago, those of the Wings were by no means impressed by Zadina, called up to the sixth level at the same meeting. With a contract valid for another two years, with an average annual value of $1.825 million, the 23-year-old Czech has collected 68 points in 190 National League games.
