(Ottawa) Kirsten Moore-Towers and Michael Marinaro, who paired up to win three Canadian pairs titles, have announced their retirement from competitive figure skating.

Moore-Towers, 29, from St. Catharines, Ont., and Marinaro, 30, from Sarnia, Ont., earned the first of their five national medals in 2017, when they won bronze .
The couple also won bronze in 2018, before winning three consecutive Canadian titles from 2019 to 2022.
They have won seven medals at ISU Grands Prix and qualified for the Grand Prix Series Finals in 2019, when they finished fifth.
Moore-Towers and Marinaro represented Canada twice at the Olympics, finishing in 11e place in 2018 in PyeongChang, South Korea, and in 10e place in 2022 in Beijing.
They have also competed four times in the World Figure Skating Championships, each time finishing in the top-8.

Moore-Towers and Marinaro enjoyed international success with different partners, before forming a team in 2014.
Moore-Towers skated with Dylan Moscovitch from 2009 to 2014, winning the Canadian Championship in 2011. They were also part of the Canadian team that won silver in the team event at the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, in Russia.
Marinaro skated with Margaret Purdy from 2007 to 2014. They won silver at the world juniors in 2013.
