Israel reopens dialogue with the United States on the proposed Rafah offensive. A senior American official said Wednesday that Benjamin Netanyahu’s services had “expressed that they would like to find a new date to organize the meeting dedicated to Rafah”. This meeting, to discuss the planned Israeli ground offensive on the city of the Gaza Strip where more than 1.5 million Palestinians are crowded, was canceled by the Jewish state after the abstention of the United States during of the vote on a UN Security Council resolution calling for an “immediate ceasefire” in the Gaza Strip.
