Scene of terror in Ulvade. Fifteen people, including fourteen children, were killed Tuesday, May 24 in a shooting at an elementary school in this small town in Texas (United States) of 16,000 inhabitants, announced the governor of the State, Greg Abbott .
The 18-year-old shooter was reportedly shot dead by law enforcement, the Republican governor added at a news conference. In addition to the fourteen children killed, a teacher is among the victims, added this source.

The shooting happened at Robb Primary School, Ulvade. This city is located between San Antonio and the Mexican border, which is about 50 km away.
Shootings in public places are almost daily in the United States and gun crime is on the rise in major cities such as New York, Chicago, Miami or San Francisco, especially since the 2020 pandemic. America has been mourned by a racist shooting that left 10 African Americans dead in a supermarket in Buffalo, New York.
