FIFA | Canada falls to 48th in the world rankings

Canada fell three places to 48e rank in the FIFA World Rankings following their disappointing Concacaf Nations League quarter-final defeat to Jamaica earlier this month.

The “Reggae Boyz” remained in 55e position in the rankings after winning the home-and-home series against Canada with a 3-2 victory recorded on November 21 in Toronto.

This is the worst ranking of the representatives of the maple leaf, who now find themselves stuck between Greece and Venezuela, since they occupied the 53e globally in December 2022.

Argentina, champion of the last World Cup, is still first, ahead of France. Brazil fell two places to fifth after suffering back-to-back losses to Colombia and Argentina, respectively.
