Didier Deschamps will therefore not reveal the traditional list of 23 before the World Cup. The international football body, announced in a press release, Thursday June 23, 2022, to increase the number of selectable players “between 23 and 26 players on the final list” to be announced before November 13, 2022. The changes are even made upstream because Fifa also announces that “the maximum number of players who can be on the provisional list is increased from 35 to 55.”
This thus means that “15 substitutes and 11 officials, including the team doctor” will be allowed to travel to Qatar from November 21.
