While the mobilization day Thursday, January 13 of the personnel of theEnational education against the waltz of health protocols linked to the Covid-19 epidemic has been widely followed, several government advisers have assured franceinfo that the executive intends to assume the mess and the way out of the crisis collectively, the government receives Thursday the unions at the Ministry ofEnational education.

The question of FFP2 masks to be provided to teachers is on the agenda for discussion. This meeting, organized at the Ministry of National Education between trade unions and the government, is a sign of “consideration with regard to teachers’ unions”. The purpose of the meeting is to “demine” the situation and to prevent the unions from calling for other days of mobilization, according to the same source.
It is also a question of showing that Jean-Michel Blanquer is not “on the sidelines”. Since some unions no longer want to speak to the Minister ofEnational education, according to a member of the presidential majority, a meeting rue de Grenelle is also a way of preventing them from bypassing the minister. In the entourage of the government, it is explained that Jean-Michel Blanquer must be less stiff and do “an exercise in contrition”.
