Fewer obstacles on the roads this weekend in Montreal

There will be fewer obstacles on the roads this weekend, but maintenance work on the Honoré-Mercier bridge and the Saint-Pierre interchange could make automobile traffic difficult.

The Quebec Ministry of Transport recommends that road users avoid the area if possible, or at least allow more time to get to their destination.

Thus, in the Saint-Pierre interchange, the ramp from Route 138 eastbound to Autoroute 20 westbound will be completely closed from midnight Saturday to 5 a.m. Monday.

In addition, exit 2 of the R-138 eastbound towards Saint-Patrick Street and the Saint-Pierre interchange will be completely closed from Sunday 11 p.m. to Monday 5 a.m.

Furthermore, on the Honoré-Mercier bridge, only one lane will be available in each direction on Saturday and Sunday, from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., said a press release from the MTQ.

“The work could be postponed, extended or canceled due to unfavorable weather conditions or operational constraints,” however indicated the MTQ.
