Festival Vue sur la Relève | The next generation in Villeray

Dance, jazz, rock and R&B, the Festival Vue sur la Relève will offer a diverse look at the artists who could become the benchmarks of tomorrow. The rising star of Innu rock, Ninan, from Shefferville, is one of the participants in this 27e festival.

A total of 19 groups and artists will try to get noticed during the event, which takes place from May 4 to 16, mainly in the Villeray district, but also at the Ministère, on Saint-Laurent Boulevard.

In addition to Ninan, the curious are invited to discover the soul R & B of Naïma Frank, the singer Avril Jensen (who was a participant in The voice), dancer Sébastien Cossette Masse (seen at Revolution) and many others.

The performances will take place at the Maison de la culture Claude-Léveillée, at Patro Villeray (formerly Patro Le Prévost), at De Normanville Park and at the Ministry. Access is free, except at the Ministry.

The spokesperson for Vue sur la Relève 2023 is Laura Niquay, who took part in the event in 2018. Five years later, the Atikamekw singer-songwriter from Wemotaci notably launched a record that appeared on the long list of the Polaris Prize and won the Félix given to the aboriginal artist of the year.
