The coveted collar was granted to Snoop, the border collie of the film Anatomy of a fall by Justine Triet, portraying a guide dog who brilliantly pretended to be sick. Ken Loach, a great friend of dogs, received a palm of honor for his entire career, with special mention to the delicious Lola, in The Old Oak, playing the best friend of the main hero. There have been on this Croisette over the years unforgettable palm dogincluding the one offered to Oggie, the learned dog of The Artist by Michel Hazanavicius in 2011. And of course, the entire sensational canine cast in the aptly named Dogman by Matteo Garrone in 2018.
Rant: don’t condemn Putin!
Cannes red carpet stars competed this year in eccentric outfits, revealing dresses and other sartorial finds that caught the flash of cameras to flash the world’s small screens.
