France Bleu Provence partner of CIAM presents the Days Festival [et nuits] circus(s) in Aix en Provence.

The International Center for the Arts in Movementdeployed since 2013 on the edge of Aix-en-Provence, is an open living space which aims to explore the recreation of links between culture and society. Building on circus artsan artistic discipline that is both popular and demanding, its projects are organized around 4 major axes: teaching, research innovation, support and distribution of shows.

CIAM displays 18,000 beneficiaries each yearand sees heterogeneous profiles pass through its tents: young people from the Judicial Protection of Youth, CNRS researchers experimenting with artists on the links between human sciences and circus arts meet children with autism welcomed for a program multi-year discovery program, 450 weekly students from the amateur circus arts school and 1,500 children and teenagers taking part in the various artistic and cultural education projects every year.

The 10th edition of the Days Festival [et nuits] circus(s)

From September 16 to 25, young and old can meet up in thefriendly atmosphere of the Festival, 10 days of circus festivities concocted to allow everyone to discover the world of circus from different angles. The panel of circus aesthetics proposed questions various subjects and allows spectators to select the words that animate them, that echo their concerns or that they wish to discover. Each artist brings his vision through key disciplines of circus arts, and combines artistic interpretations and technical prowess.

The canvases of the Grand Chapiteau will host a dozen talented artists on the occasion of the Cabaret des 10 ans. In turn, they will present numbers in the intoxicating atmosphere of this evening mixing apparatus and circus specialties.

Between two shows, many activities await festival-goers: workshops to discover circus arts in the company of professional pedagogical artists, creative workshops for children, a Digital Museum to discover major collections of works of art, outdoor games to share with friends or family, a reading corner to feed on pretty words and a village of food trucks for gourmets. Finally, throughout the Festival, Afterworks Chill and Play animated by DJs will allow everyone to relax in music around a drink…
