The sportsman was relegated to the background on Friday March 25 at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix in Jeddah. A missile hit an oil site about ten kilometers from the circuit, causing great concern in the paddock. The organizers have indicated that the race weekend is maintained.

In this context, the balances observed last week in Bahrain have not been modified. Charles Leclerc at the wheel of his Ferrari, dominated the two free practice sessions ahead of Max Verstappen (Red Bull) each time. Valtteri Bottas caused a surprise in the first hour of testing by finishing third in his Alfa Romeo. Further proof that the Ferrari engine is performing very well at the start of the season.

Frenchman Pierre Gasly (Alpha Tauri) powered by Honda, like Red Bull, once again distinguished himself with a fifth place in the first session. Less efficient in the second hour of testing, in the evening, he ranked twelfth in the second session. Esteban Ocon has shown consistency, finishing eighth twice.

The qualifying session on Saturday will be the last marker of everyone’s performance before Sunday’s race, if it takes place.
