After more than three weeks on the run, the policeman suspected of having killed his companion on January 29 in Paris surrendered on Tuesday February 22. The man was arrested at his father’s home, in the Var, and placed in police custody.
The run of Arnaud B. is completed at Montmeyan (var)Tuesday, February 22. He knocked in the morning on his father’s door, whom he wanted to see one last time, before calling the gendarmes to surrender. “He did three weeks on the run to cross France and say goodbye to me. (…) I said to him: ‘I love you, you will always be my son, now you will face your responsibilities'”confides the latter.
On January 29, the peacekeeper had not taken up his service at the Blanc-Mesnil police station (Seine-Saint-Denis)where it is assigned. The 29-year-old policeman, known for domestic violence, also did not answer the phone. His colleagues had found the lifeless body of his companion, bearing traces of strangulation, in his Parisian apartment. The policeman had disappeared with his service weapon.
