Félix Auger-Aliassime will headline the Canadian team that will participate in the Davis Cup finals next month.

Tennis Canada indicated that the Quebecer, who is ranked 19th in the world, will be accompanied for the occasion by his compatriots Gabriel Diallo, from Montreal, Alexis Galarneau, from Laval, Milos Raonic, from Thornhill, Ontario, and Vasek Pospisil, from Vernon, British Columbia.

Ontarian Frank Dancevic will once again act as captain for this competition which will take place from November 21 to 26 in Malaga, Spain.

Canada defeated Australia in the final last year, winning the first Davis Cup in its history.

Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov, from Richmond Hill, Ontario, shone in their respective singles matches to give Canada the victory. Shapovalov, however, is bothered by a knee injury which is slow to heal this season.

Canada will begin this tournament, which brings together the eight best men’s tennis teams in the world, against Finland on November 21.
