Already these animations target the practice, the concrete face of fishing. They therefore take place on the edge of the water and do not provide for indoor sessions as may be for certain initiations. We are talking about initiation oriented on the initiation to the practice of fishing for young people from 12 to 18 years old and for those who have already taken their first steps, come and seek advice to perfect their technique.
All the “fishing” structures offer this type of activity in Charente-Maritime?
A large part of the local fishing associations offer entertainment but here we are on a Federal proposal where the project manager is Patrick, a Federal employee holding the BPJEPS. A state diploma that allows him to supervise all types of audiences in this field.
A technique rather than another these days?
Yes the feeder. This technique has several particularities. The rod is quite short and has a very sensitive tip that allows bites to be easily detected, but what characterizes the feeder is the assembly itself. A small cage is the feeder, branching off the line. A small cylinder in which you will insert groundbait and very often maggots. The hook is located near the bait and all this makes it a very effective technique that leads to very good results. In addition, it is very easy to use equipment given its low weight and very small size.
Do we target specific species with the feeder?
In general, small and medium-sized cyprinids such as roach, bream, goldfish and small carp. These multiple targets mean that the bites are numerous and the fishing parties very lively.
Sectors, periods rather than others?
The proposal is very broad. Already it’s called “fishing holidays” and it will take place during the Easter holidays. I will give you the dates and places where these events will take place. April 19-20 Rochefort – April 21-22 La Rochelle – April 26-27 Saintes – April 28-29 Jonzac.
