FC Mulhouse demoted to Regional 1, the club has eight days to appeal

This has not happened for more than 70 years: the Football Club of Mulhouse, one of the oldest clubs in France, expected to play next year at regional level. The club was notified of its demotion from National 3 to Regional 1 on Tuesday July 12 by the National Directorate of Management Control (DNCG) of the Grand Est Football League.

8 days to appeal

Heard Monday, July 11 by the financial policeman of regional football, the club did not provide sufficient information on its economic viability in the fifth national division.

The DNCG has therefore decided to demote him administratively to the first regional division, despite a maintenance obtained on the ground (8th in N3 for the 2021-2022 season).
