The new FC Metz jerseys have been designed like metal armor. “We really thought about it in relation to our region. The armor side, the metal side, it was essential for us. This is the basis of work that we gave to the Kappa designers and our graphic artists. The key word was the armor, the metal, find the values of the club, the values of fighting spirit, the values of the region and I believe that this affects the jerseys rather well”says Bertrand Fenot, the commercial director of the club.
FC Metz jerseys are still designed by the Kappa brand. The main jersey is of course garnet, the away jersey is white and the third jersey is blue and garnet. The latter does not leave fans indifferent. “We have already had blue jerseys but not this blue. This midnight blue is new”specifies Bertrand Fenot.
Yesterday, as soon as the FC Metz store opened, at the start of the afternoon, the first supporters came to buy the new jersey. “He is magnificent”, drops one of them. Most come out of the store with the blue jersey, the best-selling in the first hours of sale.
“The blue is more elaborate than the other two. The garnet jersey and the white are a bit repetitive from previous seasons”, says Damien. “It changes, it’s really not bad”, adds Yann. Armor, metal, that’s what inspires Franck, a long-time supporter. “A direct return to Ligue 1, we believe in it. A shirt, a new staff and maybe a restart, that’s all we ask for”he said.
Side sponsors flocked on the jersey, we will find the same as last season, because no partner has left despite the descent into Ligue 2.
On the price side, FC Metz subscribers have a preferential rate, a 10% reduction on the jersey. For the others, it is necessary to count 125 euros for the pro version, 79 euros for the replica and 69 euros for the children.
On the occasion of the presentation of the new jersey, Lamine Gueye, Lenny Lacroix, Georges Mikautadze and Matthieu Udol lent themselves to the game of a signing session at the club shop, at the end of the afternoon.
