Each FC Metz football player will wear, on Saturday March 30, a personalized jersey which will tell “family migratory history of the one who wears it”, indicates the club on its website. They will wear it during the warm-up, before the match against AS Monaco, as part of the 27th day of Ligue 1, precisely dedicated to the fight against racism in stadiums. During their match, and like all Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 players in France, they will wear a special jersey with a specific logo, symbol of the commitment against racism.

Every warm-up outfit created in Metz must do “appear borders of countries or regions, travel routes”describes the club on its site. “Certain journeys show the movement from one neighborhood to another, or from one region to another, or finally from one country to another. From Haiti, to the Ivory Coast, via the Paris region and the banks of the Moselle, each flocking highlights the rich cultural heritage of the Metz locker room”rejoices the club.

The project was carried out “in close collaboration with the Metz artist, Paolo Del Vecchio”. “The players immersed themselves in their memories and experiences. They then put down on paper what was on their hearts. Based on these introspective texts and thanks to layers superimposed on a world map, each player was able to retrace their life journey.continues the text which presents this local initiative.
