It’s official. The mouth with its tongue sticking out, emblem of the British group the Rolling Stones, will adorn the front of the jerseys of the FC Barcelona players who will face Real Madrid on October 28 during the 11th day of La Liga.

FC Barcelona announced Thursday, October 19 that it would wear the logo of the famous rock group the Rolling Stones on the front of its jersey during the Clasico against Real Madrid on October 28, on the occasion of the eleventh day of La Liga. The mouth with its tongue sticking out, emblem of the British group, will also replace the logo of the audio streaming platform Spotify, main sponsor of Barça since 2022, on the jerseys of the women’s team for the Clasico on November 19, specifies the press release from the club.
A juicy sponsorship deal
Last year, the Catalans had already worn a stylized owl, the logo of the Canadian rapper Drake, and the Motomami logo, named after the latest album by the Spanish singer Rosalia, on the belly part of their jersey. This type of marketing operation is provided for in the sponsorship agreement concluded with the Swedish streaming platform Spotify, considered one of the largest sponsorship contracts in the history of world football. The amount of the partnership which runs over several seasons was not made public at the time of signing, but according to the specialist press, it could bring in 435 million euros for Barça, including the naming of the Camp Nou.
In October 2017, PSG had already experimented by launching a collection of products featuring the logo of the rock group then on tour in France. Jerseys, helmets, sweatshirts, t-shirts and even skateboards mixing the club colors and the group emblem were available for fans!
