France, which has not won the competition since 1977, will be represented by Quebec singer La Zarra and her electro-disco “Evidemment” in the final on Saturday.

Who will win the 2023 edition of the Eurovision Song Contest? After an evening of entertainment, ten of the fifteen countries participating in the semi-final on Tuesday, May 9 won their ticket for the grand final on Saturday, in Liverpool (United Kingdom), during which 26 countries will compete. These are: Croatia, Moldova, Switzerland, Finland, the Czech Republic, Israel, Portugal, Sweden, Serbia and Norway. The next semi-final will be held on Thursday evening, during which 16 other countries will try to advance to the final.

Sweden, represented by singer Loreen, already victorious in 2012, is the favorite of the competition with Tattoograndiloquent love song, in front of Finland, with the Cha Cha Cha frantic singer Käärijä and his fluorescent green puffy bolero.

As a reminder, France is one of the “big Five”, that is to say the five countries automatically qualified for the final, because they are the biggest financial contributors to the competition. Given in the leading group, the latter, who has not won since 1977 with Marie Myriam, will be represented by the Quebec singer La Zarra and her electro-disco Obviously.

Last year, Ukraine won Eurovision, thanks to the triumph of the Kalush Orchestra with his song Stefaniamixing hip-hop and traditional music. Russia is excluded as in 2022 due to the invasion of Ukraine.
