Faustine Bollaert listens every day to the moving testimonies of personalities or anonymous. Adultery, disease, autism, abandonment … it is sometimes hard for her to take so many moving stories. But she too could tell poignant stories. Like that of the evening when she was attacked in the middle of the street.
It was in 2008, in the magazine Maximum, which the wife of the successful writer Maxime Chattam and mother of Peter and Abbie (6 and 8 years old), had recounted the night of horror she lived. She did not say when this story happened but did provide the details. While she disclosed that she had been assaulted several times in the past, once she was confronted with a gun.
“A guy held me up at the bottom of my building with a gun. The cops took me with them all sirens outside, to catch him“, she remembered. The police were reactive and Faustine Bollaert was able to try to identify her attacker. She explains:”I found myself at 5 am behind a two-way window to recognize the suspects.“We do not know if among the suspects there was the man who attacked her and therefore, if he was tried, imprisoned or if he is still running.
During this interview, the 42-year-old host also made an astonishing revelation. She had to deal with the police another time, but on that occasion, she was the delinquent! “I happened to steal something from a store and I got caught. They didn’t call the police, but it was still a shame“, she launches. We imagine that she was not famous at the time otherwise it would have made the headlines.
