A settlement was approved in early February in a class action filed in Saskatchewan Court against manufacturers Audi and Volkswagen over faulty water pumps.
A wide variety of vehicles from model years 2008 to 2021 are affected by this regulation. It includes an extended warranty of 10 years or 160,000 km for 2008 to 2014 models while 2014 to 2021 vehicles are covered for 8 years or 125,000 km.

Owners of eligible vehicles who have already had repairs related to this defect carried out at their own expense or who have had to replace their engine altogether can receive a reimbursement. However, you must present “proof of compliance with the vehicle maintenance schedule,” specifies RicePoint, which is the administrator of the regulation.
For owners concerned, you have until June 3, 2024 to submit your complaint.
