In their trenches, the Ukrainians are still resisting the Russian army which has regained some ground in recent days. The counter-offensive promised by kyiv now seems far away.
Demonstrations by soldiers’ wives
Volodymyr Zelensky, who once again paid tribute to the fallen heroes, nevertheless wants to be confident. “Victory is before us, there is no other alternative, we all know that”, declared the Ukrainian president. A speech and words that these women no longer want, who demand the return of their husbands, mobilized for several months on the front. This type of demonstration is increasing in several cities in Ukraine. A movement which reflects a certain weariness in Ukrainian society, worn out by this never-ending war.
