The father who forgot his baby in his car last week will not be prosecuted, France Bleu Occitanie reported on Friday, July 5. The five-month-old child died of sunstroke.
The Toulouse public prosecutor’s office explained to France Bleu Occitanie that there will be no “no pursuit” against this man who was, that day, “very stressed about a meeting”. He was not the one who usually dropped the child off at the nursery. The case was therefore closed without further action.
Last Friday, June 28, the baby was found dead in the afternoon in the parking lot of the Thales AVS company located in the Basso-Cambo district of Toulouse. His father, an engineer in the company, first dropped his first child off at school and forgot to leave the second at the nursery. So he stayed locked in the car all day.
