(Los Angeles) A man suspected of killing his four children and their grandmother was arrested Monday near Los Angeles, police said.
The four children, the oldest of whom was only 12, and their grandmother were found dead at the family home in Lancaster, north of Los Angeles.
The five victims bore bullet holes on the upper part of the body, said the police, warned of the tragedy on Sunday evening.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Services announced Monday morning they arrested the father, Germarcus David, in connection with the murders. He was taken into custody on bail set at two million dollars.
The man, 29, is a security guard whose license to carry a gun has been canceled, according to the newspaper Los Angeles Times.
Homicide by firearms is a recurring scourge in the United States, where it is widespread and easily accessible due in part to provisions in the Constitution protecting the right of American citizens to carry a weapon.
