It was the child’s teacher, “troubled” by a red sore on the girl’s nose, who alerted the school management and then the DPJ.

In a video testimony with the investigator, the child, verbomotor, had said: “I am happy not to go to dad”.

Asked about the punches in the face that made her lip swell, she replies candidly: “My tooth is strong, it hasn’t fallen out.”

For his part, the 42-year-old defendant told a totally different story to his daughter’s, saying he had never touched her.

“Violence, I do not condone that,” he testified before the judge.

He claimed that no traces of violence were visible on his daughter’s face when he left her at school the morning of the event.

As the only explanation for the marks on his daughter’s face, the defendant said the victim may have injured herself with the dictionary when she consulted it to write her apology letters.
