farm inns reopen their doors in the Vosges

Sun, not too much wind on the heights of the Vosges. Hikers are numerous and on this occasion, during the Easter weekend, the farm inns reopen their doors.

After a winter spent on the plain, the farmer-innkeepers reopen their establishments for the beautiful days, to enliven the taste buds. After two difficult years due to the pandemic, there are no more restrictions this year and that’s a sigh of relief for the profession. Take-out deliveries are forgotten.

Hikers at the rendezvous for the opening

At the Kahlenwasen farm-inn, on the heights of Munster, the owner Guy Lochert is happy to reopen: “We’re working, we’re like ants with this sunny Easter weekend. It’s especially the people who love this recovery. Everyone comes to see us smiling and saying to us: it’s great you’ve reopened! “

As for the hikers, even if the resumption of the hike was difficult for Nathalie and Jean, they are happy to find themselves at the table of a farm-inn. : “It’s super nice here, it’s friendly and the landscape is magnificent,” rejoices the couple.

Same reaction for Claudine and Patrick “I’ve been coming here since I was little. It’s really worth the trip. It’s good to meet people, to see life again!”

There are around forty farm inns in the Haut-Rhin. A dozen in the Bas-Rhin. They offer you the marcaire menu, but also farm specialties with cheese, charcuterie and meat from the Vosges.
