“Reading the newspaper is the morning prayer of modern man”, said Hegel. Without being Hegelian, I do morning reading of the Duty a real ritual. This morning, Francine Pelletier’s column announcing her departure shocked me. Her column was always the first I read, even if I didn’t always agree with the author. We do not read a columnist to agree with his ideas, but to have a point of view that is both committed and clear on things, which feeds our thinking and allows us to pursue it. And if in addition the column is very well written and tinged with humor, the day started well. Thank you very much, Francine Pelletier, for your more than nine years of stimulating chronicles! We will miss you very much!
