Fans throwing objects at performers | Adele raises her voice

(New York) British pop diva Adele has warned her fans that she will not accept objects of any kind being thrown at her on stage, a response to recent incidents which have seen performers injured by such throwing.

In June, in New York, singer Bebe Rexha had to interrupt a concert after receiving a phone call in the head, slightly injuring her eye.

Among other recent incidents, country artist Kelsea Ballerini was targeted with a bracelet onstage in Idaho, while even more singularly, singer Pink picked up a small bag supposed to contain the ashes of the mother of a fan.

So many moments captured on their phones by spectators and which then become viral on social networks, with the risk of encouraging other similar gestures, lamented several artists.

In residence in Las Vegas, where she performs every Friday and Saturday, star Adele has warned that she will not accept it.

“Damn, I dare you, I dare you to throw something at me. I will kill you”, she launched with irony, according to a video circulating on TikTok and Twitter.

Holding a t-shirt cannon herself, she threw one of these gifts at the crowd before adding with a laugh: “Stop throwing things at the artists! “.

The trend is not new. Late last year, Harry Styles got a ‘Skittle’ candy in the eye and, more recently, a bouquet of flowers in the face.

“This trend of throwing objects at performers when they are on stage needs to stop,” American pop and R&B singer Charlie Puth tweeted recently. “It’s a lack of respect and it’s very dangerous. Please just enjoy the music,” he added.
