The Mexican Football League banned the movement of supporters on Sunday March 6, the day after a violent fight in a stadium which left at least 26 injured in the center of the country, co-organizer of the 2026 World Cup.
“From today, supporters of visiting clubs will not be able to enter the stadiums“, indicated the president of the League Mikel Arriola during a press conference at the La Corregidora stadium in Querétaro, where the incidents broke out on Saturday evening.

“The toll of these events at present is 26 people injured, 24 men and two women, who required medical treatment in hospital.“, detailed the governor of the state of Querétaro, Mauricio Kuri, during a press conference. “Of the 23 still hospitalized, three are in serious condition“, specified the governor who also recognized that the security forces were insufficient and had not acted quickly enough.
